Nyerere Natioanal Park, formerly known as Selous Game Reserve, is located in southern Tanzania and is one of the largest game reserves in Africa. it covers an area of 50,000 square kilometers and is home to a diverse rang of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, wild dogs, giraffes, and hippos.

Itinerary
- The package starts at Zanzibar or Dar Es Salaam Airport with your scheduled flight departing at 06h00, usually on a Cessna Caravan. Once you arrive at Mtemere Airstrip in Selous at around 06h30, Once you touch down at Mtemere Airstrip, your driver-guide will be eagerly waiting to welcome you with a delicious packed lunch and refreshing drinks. From there, it’s off to explore the vast and diverse Selous Gr, where you’ll be surrounded by some of the most incredible wildlife and pristine nature you’ve ever seen. Keep your eyes peeled for African wild dogs, which Selous is famous for, and let our expert driver-guide show you all the secrets of this incredible ecosystem. After a full day of adventure you’ll be treated to a bush lunch from a safe vantage point with stunning view of the wildlife around you, then later you’ll be transferred to the lodge where a delicious dinner and a cosy overnight stay waits for you.

- After morning tea or coffee, you’ll depart the lodge and make your way around the reserve for an educative Walking Safari accompanied by an armed ranger. The Park has a variety of vegetation zones, ranging from dense thickets to open wooded grasslands. Then, you will return to the lodge for your afternoon lunch and have ample time to relax. Later you’ll depart for a sunset boat safari along the great Rufiji river. The cruise normally last for two hours, Awesome views of hippos growling, crocodiles basking on the banks and the abundant birdlife will spice up your spectacular dawn. After the Boat Safari you’ll be transferred back to the lodge for a beautiful and luscious dinner and an overnight stay on the banks of the Great Rufiji River.
